Among the areas affected by the Wednesday morning storms are the Shawnee subdivision at Haynes and Tomahawk drives, Carlye subdivision and Memorial Boulevard. Other storm damage is reported on Broad Street in Murfreesboro, near where a fatal tornado struck two years ago.
There are numerous trees down on Rucker Lane in western Murfreesboro, some of them onto homes. Also trees down on Cason Lane.
At Regent Wood Subdivision in Murfreesboro, there are reports of approximately 100 homes damaged.
Other areas of Murfreesboro with damage include: Palace Drive, Region Wood Drive, Tower, Banner Street and Queens Court.
Forecaster Mark Rose said a funnel cloud was sighted by a Murfreesboro fire hall crew at about 7 a.m
