MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Another automaker is expected to announce plans to bring some of its operation to Tennessee.
Officials in Memphis plan to announce on Monday that Mitsubishi will build a $200 million manufacturing site, according to a report in the Memphis Commercial-Appeal.
The newspaper reported officials with the Greater Memphis Chamber of Commerce have declined to confirm the details. But leaders recently said major economic projects will be announced in the next few weeks.
Nissan has a plant in Smyrna. Its North American corporate headquarters is located in Franklin. Volkswagen operates a plant in Chattanooga.
