Two boats collided on Percy Priest Lake in Smyrna on Thursday evening, just after 6. The accident occurred near Fate Sanders Marina. One boat was traveling at about 45-miles per hour when another boater turned into the path of the oncoming boat. Three people were ejected when the collision happened. Two had only minor injuries and the third died. The body of the third person was found on Friday morning. Both the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Department and the TWRA are helped with the recovery efforts.
The crash happened while a fishing tournament was going on. No names have been released
