When is the last time you've been to a theme park?

..Middle Tennessee may be on the verge of landing a huge new theme park. The Columbia Daily Herald reports that a Florida theme park company will announce plans at 1 p.m. today to build a new attraction in Spring Hill that could employ thousands.

Spring Hill Mayor Michael Dinwiddie told the newspaper that the park plans to build a theme park near I-65 that could sit on as much as 1,000 acres and would include the attraction itself and hotels. By comparison, the entire Disney World Resort in Orlando features just over 7,000 developed acres, with Magic Kingdom, Epcot Center and Disney-MGM Studios sitting on a total of 561 acres.

It's unclear which theme park operator plans to buy the land in Spring Hill, but Dinwiddie did say that it will not be a religion-based attraction
