Child Drowns While Mom Attends Yard Sale
HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. -- The case of a toddler who drowned in a swimming pool Sunday wasn't the first time the mother left one of her children alone in a dangerous situation. In February, Donna Pierce, 32, was charged with child neglect after police found her 7-year-old son walking to school alone on a busy road.Pierce's 19-month-old boy was found unresponsive Sunday in an above-ground pool.According to police, Pierce left her home for 30 to 45 minutes to go to a yard sale a few houses away and was home for about 30 minutes when the child's grandfather discovered the boy in the pool.
