Come kick up your boots and enjoy some country music, BBQ and a good time at the 2nd Annual American Red Cross Heart of Tennessee Chapter Barn Party. This event begins at 6:00 o’clock Saturday night, August 14th, at Womack Stables at Glen Oaks Farms. That’s at 4024 Barfield Crescent Road. Tickets are $50 per person and the cost includes food, beverages and fun. Food will be provided by Two Purple Pigs BBQ. The event will be held at Womack Stables rain or shine.

Musical guests this year include Tim James and the James Brothers Band. James is a Middle Tennessee native and is very well known on the Nashville country music scene as a very talented songwriter. He has enjoyed many major label artist cuts including the 5-week number one single “My List” recorded by Toby Keith. James has also had his songs recorded by such artists as Trace Adkins, LeeAnn Womack, Jeff Bates, Tim Rushlow, Mark Wills, Josh Gracin, American Idol finalist Bucky Covington and fellow Murfreesboro native and Nashville Star winner Chris Young.

“The Red Cross has been here for our community for over 100 years. This is a great opportunity for everyone to come out to this year’s Barn Party to help give back to a great organization that truly benefits our neighbors affected by disasters every day,” said 2010 Barn Party Chair, Freda Morgan.

All funds raised through ticket sales and company sponsorships will go to the local Red Cross Chapter to help victims of local disasters, such as fires, tornadoes and floods, and to aid U.S. military members and their families who need Red Cross services. The Red Cross is NOT a government agency and depends on generous gifts from the community to respond to disasters around the clock and around the block. . This fundraiser will help your local Red Cross serve your neighbors in need in Middle Tennessee every day!
